AM General Personnel Certificate Course

The AM General Personnel Certificate Course is comprised of 8 modules that cover all the general concepts of the AM process chain. To give flexibility to the attendees, the course is scheduled such that two modules will be covered every week to complete the entire course in one month.

  • Taught by instructors from academia, industry, national labs, and regulatory bodies

This course will equip attendees with core technical knowledge related to common AM practices and will allow them to earn a General AM Certificate that will serve as the foundation and pre-requisite for earning future specialized role-based AM certificates through the ASTM AM CoE. Attendees will complete a multiple-choice exam upon course completion. Course attendees will also receive 3.2 Continuing Education Credits (CEU’s).

Certificate Course on Quality Assurance on-site at AMUG 2021

The first in-person certificate course of 2021 will provide guidance for what is key to control quality output and demonstrate compliance to requirements. Determining the Suitability of Parts for AM

Principles of Debinding and Sintering

Sinter-based AM technologies are rapidly emerging and gaining interest among manufactures due to the potential for lower cost and higher throughout with broader materials application compared to fusion-based AM technologies.

Sinter-based AM processes are available across four of the seven ISO/ASTM standard AM categories, including Binder Jetting (BJT), Material Extrusion (MEX), Material Jetting (MJT) and Vat Photopolymerization (VPP) technologies. Considerable knowledge is necessary to properly design and control the debinding and sintering process steps which are critical to achieving the desired material properties and final part quality requirements. In this webinar you will learn the basics including the kinetics of debinding and sintering, types of furnaces and the effect of process atmospheres, and general guidelines for densifying bound powder parts.

Multi-Material Processing in AM

Relevant in-process technologies to produce metal multi-material parts are introduced.
