The UNSW Materials and Manufacturing Futures Institute (MMFI) is a landmark interdisciplinary research institute serving as a hub between UNSW, Researchers, Manufacturers and Industry to facilitate dynamic collaboration and interdisciplinary engagement, providing solutions to important global challenges and to design systems and products that will generate economic benefit and social prosperity.

MMFI is home to more than 28 world-leading academics with an average research citation over 10,000 times per researcher across 9 different schools and disciplinaries inside UNSW, including materials science & engineering, chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, photovoltaic and renewable energy engineering, built and environmental engineering, telecommunications, medical science and chemistry.
